The RockStock & Barrels is a grassroots festival that was created in 2006 by:​

Sixteen years ago, we joined forces to establish the inaugural New York City Surf, Skate, Music, and Arts Festival at Rockaway Beach. Through our collective efforts, we successfully advocated for a dedicated surfing beach and skatepark at the iconic 90th street beach/boardwalk location. The New York City Parks Department, recognizing the significance of our request, granted approval in 2005.

Since then, we have been committed to providing the community with an annual, family-friendly, and entirely FREE festival every summer. The event has garnered tremendous support, and the NYC Parks Department has been a proud sponsor, contributing to its massive success with attendance reaching into the thousands.

Running from 10 am to 6 pm, the festival features a thrilling Surf & Skate contest that unfolds throughout the day, complemented by live music acts from around the world. Explore our full shopping village, offering a variety of unique items for all tastes.
